What is the charge for Workshop jobs?

The ‘Drop-In’ Service Charge varies depending on which type of appliance it is (A Lamp is £18 inc vat, Food Processor £28.00 inc vat, Vacuum Cleaner £38 inc vat. and a Computer is £48). There is an each-way surcharge of £5.00 inc vat if you need us to collect and/or return a workshop appliance for you.

What do I get for my Drop-In payment?

The Drop-In Service Charge is the whole job done in terms of labour - it covers for our time and expertise assessing the fault and then either completing the repair or recycling the appliance if irreparable. If it is irreparable then part of the drop-in charge also goes toward the cost of buying a new like-for-like replacement appliance of your choice instead: £5 is discounted off the price a new lamp, £7 off a new food processor, £10 off a new vacuum cleaner and £20 off a new computer. The Drop-In charge does not include the cost of any parts required for repair. So that you can make a well informed repair or replace decision we give you a separate, no-obligation quote for parts upon assessing the job in-hand.

What is the charge for In-Home jobs?

Our ‘Call-Out’ Service Charge is £98.00 inc vat in Cirencester. Further afield (upto 10 miles around Cirencester) it is £108.00 inc vat.

What do I get for my Call-Out payment?

The Call-Out Service Charge is the whole job done in terms of labour – it covers you for the initial fault finding and a return visit wherever necessary to complete the job. That is, either to deliver and fit any parts not immediately to hand, or to deliver and fit* a new replacement appliance of your choice (and remove/recycle** your old one) should it prove irreparable. The Call-Out Charge does not include the cost of any parts (or replacement appliances) themselves - So you can make a well informed repair or replace decision we give you a separate, no-obligation quote for them upon assessing the job in-situ.

We call-out to in-home jobs within a 10 mile radius of Cirencester. That includes – Aldsworth, Ablington, Ashley, Avening, Ampney Crucis, Ampney St Peter, Ampney St Mary, Ashton Keynes, Bagendon, Bibury, Calmsden, Cerney Wick, Coln, Coates, Chedworth, Cherington, Culkerton, Charlton, Cricklade, Chalford, Colesbourne, Daglingworth, Duntisbourne, Eastcourt, Eastleach, Ewen, Fairford, Frampton Mansell, Fossebridge, Horcott, Kemble, Lechlade, Leigh, Long Newnton, Malmesbury, Meysey Hampton, Marston Meysey, Miserden, Minchinhampton, Northleach, Oaksey, Preston, Poole Keynes, Quenington, Rendcomb, South Cerney, Southrop, Somerford Keynes, Tarlton, Tetbury, Withington, Whelford, Winson, Winstone and Woodmancote in the following postcode areas – GL6, GL7, GL8, GL54, SN6 and SN16.

I need Hewetts to look at more than one faulty appliance In-Home, is there a discounted Call-Out Service Charge for extra appliances at the same appointment?

Yes. The Call-Out Service Charge for dealing with another appliance at the same initial In-home appointment is discounted by £20.00 inc vat. So, for example, the first appliance is £98 - the second is £78 and a third £58.

Are there any other costs I might have to pay?

Our Service charges do not include the cost of any parts required, or of a new replacement appliance itself, – so you can make a well informed repair-or-replace decision, we give you a no-obligation quote for parts and/or a new like-for-like appliance upon assessing the job in hand.

*There is a surcharge of £28 if we need to remodel the kitchen unit door when installing an integrated washing machine.

**There is a surcharge of £38 to uplift and recycle your old refrigeration appliance.

How and when do I pay?

Once you are happy the whole job has been completed to your satisfaction you can either pay -

by Card online (Tap/Click the ‘Pay My Bill Now’ button on your digital invoice if you have one or at the top of this screen), over the Phone (01285 655321), or in-person at the shop (109 Cricklade St Cirencester GL71JF);

by Cash or Cheque (made payable to Hewetts) in person at the shop or with our call-out engineer at your In-Home appointment;

Or by Electronic Bank Transfer from your own banking app.(Please pay: Hewetts Electrical 30-99-50 51823068 - and use your invoice/job number as the payment reference).
